Methodology & sources

A transparent scenario, not a traffic forecast.

The model connects user inputs with a published CTR benchmark. It keeps measured research, your inputs, and model assumptions visibly separate.

Scenario inputs

Search volume estimates demand. Impressions are actual appearances in results; visits are clicks that reach your site.

Scenario assumption

Visits = search volume × CTR. Conversions = visits × conversion rate. Revenue = conversions × average order value.

The arithmetic is deterministic; the inputs and CTR benchmark remain scenario estimates.

CTR model

The benchmark uses AWR's July 2026 Google US desktop averages for positions 1–20. Choose the AI Overview curve only when that SERP context matches your scenario.

View benchmark methodology

CTR also varies with intent, brand demand, device, ads, SERP features, snippets, AI Overviews, query type, and title quality. Search volume itself is an estimate.
